Bid Me Come to Thee

I was on my way to school, and on the bus, en route to campus, I remembered Lola telling me to pray for Tita Dinky's soul. And then that song we used to sing back in Miriam came into my mind, and tears started welling up. I must've looked sick, or at least suffering from a cold, but when I got to Kent Ridge, I felt so much better.

Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, give me strength

Hear me Jesus
Hide me in thy wounds
That I may never leave Thy side
From all the evils that surround me, defend me
And when the call of death arrives, bid me come to Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints

(Repeat second verse)

I'm not a staunch Catholic, but the lyrics always make me feel so much better. :)
