It's the second leg of the Feminine Force Storytelling Series at Penguin on July 19, 2007, Thursday, at 9:00 p.m. at Penguin Gallery in Remedios St. , Malate for the purpose of filling up the mini-library of Namabblan Elementary School with good learning materials. The school, located in Namabblan town in Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley , is organizer Feminine Force Group's beneficiary until the last installment of the storytelling series next month.
Alternative and pop rock gal-fronted bands Duster, Makina, Circa, and Imago are headlining the line up. Soloist Trixie Llige, the only non-band performer of the night, will dish out a couple of songs, too.
Children's book author Gabby Lee will read her work, "La-On and the Seven-headed Dragon", storyteller Ginny Mata picks her favorite, Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are" and pop lit lover Bebang Siy will storytell the all-time popular, life of "Lam-Ang".
So bring your friends and participate in this meaningful gathering of talented and empowered women in various fields. The ticket fee of P150.00 (one beer or iced tea included) will be shared by the artists, the Group, and the beneficiary. Anyone can bring any old or new kid's books, even comics and dictionaries, to the event.
