"Once you've been called to write, you will write."
An old teacher of mine (old as in I've known him since high school, not old as in...well, yeah, age-wise as well, but not so much) told me this last night, since a year and a half of being unproductive is never a good sign. But he assured me that perhaps this is a hiatus, and that no one really stops practising their craft once they've started. It felt good to be assured that I haven't quite lost it yet. And it gives me hope - maybe once things settle down, I can go back to doing what I love the most.
